My name is Jane and I'm a watercolor artist and a teacher, based in Slovakia. In my studio, I run live watercolor workshops for my local art community and it is my dream to also teach internationally one day. I am self-taught and originally studied biology, but I was very torn as to which direction to choose - I finished school just a few months before my first daughter was born, so I never worked in the field. I started to learn and experiment with watercolor techniques in 2010 and over time this passion became work. In 2022, I find inspiration mostly in figurative and portrait painting, but I also find joy and fulfillment in teaching others - my workshops really balance out those lonely studio days. Combination of creating my own artworks and creating educational content suits me the best. Occasionally, I take on interesting commissioned projects for publishers or companies and that always broadens my horizons. The purpose of this channel is to share my art journey with you. ?
