MP Sahitya Academy Awardee Noted Poet Aalok Shrivastav is the only young poet whose literary works have been given voice by ghazal maestro Late Sh. Jagjit Singh, Pankaj Udhas, Classical Singer Ustad Rashid Khan, Shubha Mudgal, Singer Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Shaan, Kailash Kher, Rekha Bharadwaj, Richa Sharma, Legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, Ashutosh Rana & many more. He also collaborated with renowned sitarist Anoushka Shankar for the album Traveller which was nominated for 'Grammy Awards' in 2012. He won accolades as a lyricist for the award-winning Indo-American film Patang: The Kite and for the theme song of the film Can't Take This SHIT Anymore. The film won the National Award in the 'Best Film On Social Issue' category. Lyrics in the multi-starer movie Vodka Diaries, Nakkash and AR Rehman presents Atakan-Chatakan.
