First time checking out ASMR? Go ahead and say it. This is a little weird. I thought so at fist, too, then I put it into perspective... How much money does the US (and the world for that matter) spend on relaxation, sleeping pills, or anti-anxiety medication? How many people listen to soundscapes, like ocean waves or a bustling rainforest, to help them calm down or get a good nights rest? ASMR isn't much different than any of those things, except it's FREE (with your internet connection), it's SPECIFIC to you individuals sensory reactions, and its always UPDATING, so you never have to get bored with the same sounds. ASMR is not about sex, although some people manage to make everything inappropriate. It's about finding a sound or a movement, known as triggers, that that make your brain tingle and melt into sleep or focus. It may be different than anything you've ever tried to help you relax, and it may also be the best thing you've ever tried!
