The Center for High Performance Computing (CHPC) is a department at the University of Utah that focuses primarily on cost-effectively enabling the computing needs of the research done at the university. In the past, CHPC focused on large-scale operations and high performance computational resources. Today, CHPC has expanded to match new researching needs. CHPC now serves as an expert team to broadly support the diverse research computing needs of the campus. In addition to the high performance computing, we offer support for big data, big data movement, data analytics, security, virtual machines, Windows science application servers, protected environments for data mining, and advanced networking.
