DJ SPOONY
Johnathan Joseph BEM aka DJ Spoony is a British DJ, radio and television presenter. He is currently hosting Friday nights on BBC Radio 2. This follows successful stints on Radio 1 and BBC 5 Live spanning over 20 years. He is a TV host for the Premier League, having interviewed some of the biggest names in football including Sir Alex Ferguson, Jose Mourinho and David Beckham. During the lockdown of 2020, more than one million of us tuned into over 100 hours of streams from “Spoony’s House” raising over £20,000 for the NHS. In 2023, in recognition of these achievements, he was awarded the British Empire Medal from Buckingham Palace. Spoony currently packs out clubs and festivals up and down the UK and abroad, and his own creations Spoony’s House, A House Full Of Garage, The Soul Kitchen and Garage Classical are some of the most in-demand events in the UK. 2024 will see Spoony’s 10 year anniversary of residencies in Ibiza (O Beach).
