Writers, poets, politicians, scientists, artists, novelists, philosophers, illustrators, thinkers and comic book creators from across the world gather every August for the Edinburgh International Book Festival, the largest public celebration of the written word in the world. We film and broadcast many of these live events, along with author interviews, and this channel is the result. Including events with top authors and brand new talent, leading names in literary and non-fiction writing, in these events you can hear first-hand what writers have to say about their books, their lives and the issues that matter to them. The 2022 Book Festival Programme featured 600 events for adults, children and teens.
