After having relaxed hair for the majority of my life, I took the plunge and went natural by transitioning in 2009. After struggling with two textures, endlessly rocking protective styles, and slowly trimming my relaxed ends for years, I became FULLY natural at waist to tailbone length in 2015! Since then, I must be honest - the natural hair "lifestyle" has been a challenge for me. From cowashing, prepooing, washing, detangling, conditioning, and any host of other complicated methods, it all just felt like too much. Furthermore, as a physician initially juggling medical school, residency, and now fellowship, I simply do not have time to devote countless hours to caring for and styling my hair. So, I created this channel originally as a way to document my journey of devising faster, easier, and more efficient methods for managing my natural hair. I know I still don't have it all figured out, but my mission is simple. Welcome to my channel!
