George and the Giant Pledge
Beating children’s cancers together. On January 3rd we were told by the doctors at The Royal Marsden Hospital that a lump that we’d found on his back just five weeks earlier (known as Tony the tumour) was in fact cancer. A Primitive Neuro Ectodermal Tumour (PNET) to give it its proper name. George is only four years old. The news has knocked us sideways. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare and we are so, so scared of what the future holds. But what we do know is that while it’s going to be a tough road ahead, this is one fight Tony the tumour is not going to win. Treatment begins this week. And over the coming months, will include a combination of intense Chemo, Surgery, Radiotherapy - followed by more Chemo for good measure. We want to support and raise vital funds for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity because of the great work they do for children with cancer.
