The Faculty of Education was originally established in 1917 at HKU as the Department for the Training of Teachers within the Faculty of Arts. It equips students with the knowledge and abilities to meet the educational needs of a steadily development society. Over a century and many generations on, the Faculty has grown in size and scope, but its commitment to serving the community remains undiminished. The research endeavours of its members continue to be pioneering and high-impact, and its graduates are prepared for the globalised knowledge-based world we now live in with educational expertise that is fit for purpose.
