What do veterans who fought in Iraq and Afghanistan think about the wars they fought and the damage they suffered? MEATGRINDER’s executive producers are two combat veterans who know firsthand the carnage the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan inflicted on those who fought, and on civilian populations. After they left the military they entered veterans services, and worked with many more veterans who felt like they did, that America was happy to support the troops, but had little idea of what it sent them to do and what their service cost them. What price was paid by those who fought, and by civilians caught up in the fighting? How do combat veterans feel about the wars? Do they think their sacrifices were worth it? What burdens do they carry as a result of fighting these wars? These are the issues Meatgrinder will explore, by asking those who fought tell their stories - and asking American to listen.
