Nikki&Mallory started as a fashion blog in 2012, showcasing personal style as a creative outlet to escape corporate life of working in the tv/film industry. After an unexpected lay-off and the desire to pursue my passions further, Design School and an empty room in my moms 3-bedroom apartment is where I experimented with creating fabric handbags to compliment each outfit. Shortly after, replacing fabric bags with the beauty + intricacy of leather work - a skillset I dedicated countless hours to learn. In 2015, Nikki&Mallory Handbags became exclusive with the launch of our made-to-order fabric bags/accessories and has since evolved beyond the bedroom, while expanding to leather goods + home decor. My love for leather and community became apparent after the 2021 launch of NikkiMade; a space for makers and creatives to learn the artistry of leatherwork + design. Designing quality-made leather goods is the objective but connecting + creating with community will always be the purpose.
