I am on a personal journey of unquestioning fun. For whatever unexplored reason I have, I’ve decided that my personal happiness means that I must sew a vintage wardrobe. Not just any wardrobe will do! I require an iconic and timeless closet that would support a well dressed time traveler. To do this, I am currently focusing on drafting my own patterns based upon the Haslam System of Dress Cutting. This vintage sewing system has allowed for bespoke and custom work. Due to the volume of historical sewing rabbit holes I could fall into, I’m going to narrow this time traveler fantasy down to 1920-1960. I see myself in the mirror, and I see a canvas begging to be engaged with. I love hair and makeup transformations. The versatility of the human form allows for historical and personal aesthetics to merge and inspire future concepts of beauty. I simply cannot adhere to one concept of beauty standards, and I am absolutely driven to spread the concept of beauty fluidity.
