Sophie started sailing & racing from the age of 12 in a Mirror dinghy & went on to teach beginners to performance dinghy sailing. Working full time in the Yachting Industry for the last 13 years as a Yachtmaster Instructor & Race Skipper incl. Skippering in Fastnets, Caribbean RORC 600s, Trans-Atlantics & many more. Chris Skippered team Qingdao in the 2017-18 Clipper Round The World Race finishing 3rd overall! Having logged more than 200,000 nautical miles Chris has also sailed & raced around the world on a variety of yachts from small, modern Cape31s to big classic 50m schooners. We met during the 2017-18 Clipper Round The World Race where Sophie joined the team as the Mate in China to race across the North Pacific. Since then, we have been sailing together from the Caribbean to the Falkland Islands as well as remote regions such as Antarctica, South Georgia & other hostile places incl. crossing Drakes Passage.
