Our Liberty House | Garden, Home, DIY
Our Liberty House is a gardening lifestyle channel. We are Lucas & Beth and live in Zone 9b, Sacramento, CA, (with our dog, Liberty!). We garden in approximately an 8500 SF suburban lot with 6 raised beds and lots of vertical gardening techniques. We start most of our vegetables and flowers by seeds, but buy some starts too (who doesn't!). We also use a 2-bin compost system and have done a few other garden DIY projects here. We like to eat our harvests fresh as well as preserve them by canning or freezing. Together, we garden year-round and share what we are growing and what we are learning along the way. Our gardening strategy is to create a garden full of diversity. We intermix vegetables, flowers, and herbs to create an ecosystem where beneficial insects thrive. We avoid pesticides and instead plant things that will take care of pests for us. We try to live a sustainable life where we can 'eat what we grow' from our backyard garden.
