I'm a Canadian wife, mother, and substitute teacher, and in 2019 I unknowingly began to Reclaim Jen. A simple google search that I titled "Work From Home" had set me on a trajectory I knew I needed, but didn't know I wanted. That something was online teaching and it sparked joy. The joy I couldn't find any longer in my day job. This channel documents my new journey as an Online ESL Teacher and Applicant Coach with VIPKid, while juggling my day job with managing a home, maintaining a healthy marriage , and my kids' crazy extracurricular schedule. I've found JOY in teaching again. In an amazing platform. With bright, fun, incredible kids and families. This is the best side gig ever! But visions of breaking free from the chains of the 9 to 5 are "Chinese dancing" into my mind.
