Hi, my name is Mel. I'm an old, almost deaf man who loves guitars. On my channel you will find some guitar lessons, music theory, maintenance and setup tips and gear reviews. I try to post every Friday, but I'm not always able to. I discovered the guitar through a friend at about age 14. I was instantly hooked, and throughout the 70's, 80's and 90's I played in several bands. Unfortunately I started losing my hearing around age 30. The hearing loss was not as a result of playing in bands, (although it probably didn't help). I sold all my gear and quit playing completely for about 12 years, but after the death of both parents I decided to pick up a guitar again, just for my own enjoyment. That developed into me setting up this channel to try and help beginner / intermediate players.
