Welcome to Life as a Cancer Survivor! My name is Jelena, & my world was turned upside-down in May 2016 when at age 34, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer. I was the mom of a 5-year-old daughter. I was a runner. I seemed healthy. But my body had other plans. I created this channel to talk all things Colorectal Cancer, & sometimes just cancer in general. Follow me as I talk about my journey from diagnosis, through cancer treatments (chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, having an ileostomy, and more chemotherapy) then adjusting to life post-treatment.
