Welcome to “The FACTs of Mechanical Design!” I'm Professor Jonathan Hopkins and my area of study involves the design, optimization, and fabrication of flexible mechanisms, structures, and materials (e.g., compliant mechanisms, architected metamaterials, soft robots, origami, and MEMs devices) that deform to achieve extraordinary capabilities.
