I'm John Foley, the creator and pitmaster of Tru-BBQ. I've been a backyard barbecuer for over 10 years. During that time I have learned an enormous amount about barbecue - through books, articles, blogs, videos, and most importantly, through trial and error. At one of the many BBQ parties I throw each year, a guest came up to me and said I should sell my BBQ or at least teach people how to BBQ! This is when I had the idea to create Tru-BBQ. Well, now we're a new up and coming BBQ competition team and caterer who want to feed people delicious BBQ or teach them how to cook their own! My desire is to spread the love of BBQ to as many people possible. I love the art of BBQ and try to stay true to it's core, which is where our name, Tru-BBQ comes from.
