The luxury of homemade food eludes college students in dorms and often leaves them to rely only on food sources such as campus dining. Campus dining itself can be very convenient and healthy depending on the food choices made but it's nice to be able to make something for yourself when you're short of cash, don't have time to get campus food, or just feel like making something for yourself. Because students are also not allowed to bring devices such as convection ovens or toasters into their dorms, their options are reduced even further. Unbeknownst to most students is the versatility that lies in the typical dorm room microwave. We plan to minimize time and cost while maximizing taste and efficiency through blogging, videos, and publishing about different methods to prepare edibles. Adapting typical college chow into oftentimes healthier microwavable alternatives would greatly save the college student time, money, and at the same time remain in control of portion.
