Deaf Village North West
The aim of School of Sign Language was and still is to break down the barriers between the Deaf and hearing community and raise the awareness of British Sign Language, which is an interesting and unique method of communication. Primary Sign is an interactive learning programme that offers children an introduction to British Sign Language in a fun and interesting way. Using its in-house multi-disciplinary team Seen to be Heard has developed its interactive software package -- PrimarySign -- that will allow schools to deliver their own sign language classes at a time and duration to suit. They can be delivered in the classroom, afterschool clubs and the home setting using interactive whiteboard and individual computers, as required.
